ESD No. 14 is proud to announce that construction of the new Station #1401 at 15400 Fm 2769 was completed in December 2025. As of January 2026, the Volente Fire Department has been fully operational at their new home. The original station building will provide ancillary functions for the fire department and have an expanded role as the VFD Community Center.

Budget for non-contract items: $400,000 (from cash reserves)

Approximate final cost: $5.5M, including land purchase, non-contract items and approved change orders.
